Programme Spotlight - Lived Experience Community of Practice

Eleanor Levy gives a presentation on the progression of the lived experience community of practice set up as part of the programme.

A key focus of the MHA QI Programme has been on including lived experience voice in ward teams to coproduce change ideas. In total, over 50 lived experience practitioners have been involved in the programme, with many teams also setting up project groups on their wards to involve current patients and carers in the design and delivery of their improvement initiatives. In order to empower lived experience practitioners within their roles and to create a community for mutual support and sharing of experience, Eleanor Levy, the lived experience associate on the programme team, set up a community of practice for lived experience practitioners that has been meeting on a monthly basis.
Please see below for Eleanor's presentation as part of our end-of-programme Celebration & Learning Event on the progress of this community and her thoughts on key topics of discussion and future areas of work for lived experience involvement.
